February 16, 2012 - Toronto, ON - MOTRface.com has named the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series the Car of the Show at this year's 2012 Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS). There was a very nice selection of aspirational enthusiast cars at this year's show, including the Audi R8 and TT RS, the all new BMW M5 and current M3, the Corvette Z06 and ZR1, Ford Mustang's Shelby Cobra GT500 convertible and Boss 302 Laguna Seca coupe, Jaguar's Supercharged XKR-S Coupe, the Lexus IS F, Mitsubishi's Evo X, Nissan's 2013 GT-R, Subaru's current WRX STI and the all-new 2013 BRZ, and Volkswagen's perennial favorite the GTI.
Cars on display in the Auto Exoctica floor included a rare Aston Martin One-77, a Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari's new FF, a 458 Italia coupe and a California convertible, the four-door Fisker Karma, Lamborghini models including the Aventador and Gallardo, an extremely rare Pagoni Zonda R (one of only 14 in the world) and the new 991 Porsche 911 Coupe.
There was also a nice selection of beautiful Concept Cars including an Acura NSX, Corvette Stingray and Jaguar C-X16.
But our choice for the MOTRface.com Car of the Show was the menacing C63 AMG Coupe Black Series. With its 6,208 cc engine developing 510 HP @ 6800 rpm, 457 lb-ft of torque and the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, you know this intimidating coupe is going to provide its driver with an extremely entertaining ride. All of that power is delivered to the rear wheels through AMG's Speedshift 7-speed MCT transmission and the sound of the 6.3 AMG engine is one of the best sounding on the road today. In its mat grey finish, it was the car we wanted most to drive home.
